    Pop Culture Playing Card
It is the job of graphic designer to reinvent everyday objects in a new style so we see them in a new way (and hopefully buy them?)
Below are a number of playing cards, both vintage, modern and student designed. They all follow a particular formula in how they are created, can you see what it is?

A Color harmony of your choice, inspired by your color theory research
    How to begin-
UsingChoose your Pop Culture Icon, and using references, create a simplified sketch of how they will look on the card. Consider Simple shapes, repetition, positive and negative space (as we did in the animal and tree illustrations)
    Using
graph paper, you should sketch outlayout your final design, considering rotational symmetry. Refer to the handout on this.
You will scan your image digitally and use Illustrator's pen tool to create the final shapes for your design, as well as using the patternmaker and live paint functions to finalize
    your designdesign.
